A Case of the Mondays: How to Break Old Energy Patterns That Keep Running Your Life

Some patterns in your life are not actually your personality. They are not proof that you are lazy, negative, dramatic, unmotivated, or bad at energy work. Sometimes they are just old energetic loops that have repeated for so long, they start to feel like truth.


Spirit showed me this recently through the most ridiculous example possible: Mondays. For years, Mondays have felt heavy for me. I do not take clients on Mondays. I use them for admin, emails, errands, grocery pickup, social media replies, and all the practical things I do not want interrupting my weekend. I thought this was just how my schedule worked. Then spirit showed me the real pattern: I had trained my system to hate Mondays.


The Pattern

When I worked in corporate, Mondays were the day I went back into the office, opened the emails, dealt with the problems, and picked up whatever I avoided on Friday. Over time, Monday became the day of dread, cleanup, pressure, and “fine, I guess I have to be an adult now.” Even after I left corporate and moved deeper into my spiritual business, I kept the same rhythm. Monday was still the day for the heavy stuff. The boring stuff. The stuff I did not want to do.


The outside of my life changed, but the energy did not. That is how subconscious energetic patterns work. The situation can be completely different, but your body, nervous system, and energy field may still be reacting to the old version of the story.

You may have this with money too. A bill comes in, and your whole body tightens. Your car makes a weird noise, and you immediately panic about the cost. One small overdraft fee hits, and suddenly you feel like a teenager again, ashamed, irresponsible, and scared someone is going to be mad at you. Logically, it may not make sense. You may have money in the bank. You may be safe. You may be completely capable of handling it. But energy is not always logical. Your system remembers where the fear started.


The Reframe

The reframe is simple: the pattern is not always the truth. Monday was not the problem. My schedule was not even the real problem. The problem was that I had never consciously changed the energy. I kept assigning Monday the same role it had played for twenty years, then acted surprised when it felt the same.


This is why spirit communication can be so life-changing. It is not just about signs, synchronicities, spirit guides, ancestors, loved ones in spirit, or proving that the unseen world is real. Spirit can show you where your energy is still stuck in an old loop. For me, it was Mondays. For you, it might be money, visibility, relationships, your business, rest, success, being seen, or being supported.


The pattern itself is not the problem. The problem is when you keep treating the pattern like it is the truth.


The Energetic Shift

Energy keeps moving in the same direction until something interrupts it. That interruption does not have to be dramatic. It can be one simple choice that tells your system, “We do not do it this way anymore.”


If Mondays feel awful, maybe the answer is not forcing yourself to be more productive. Maybe it is starting the day with something that feels good before touching the admin pile. Get the coffee. Take the walk. Sit outside. Move the low-energy tasks to a different day. If money brings up panic, maybe the answer is not shaming yourself for the reaction. Maybe it is noticing the old imprint and bringing in the opposite energy: safety, gratitude, generosity, or choice.


That is real energy work. Not pretending everything is fine. Not forcing yourself to be high-vibe. Not bypassing the reaction. Real energy work is noticing the pattern, telling the truth about it, and choosing whether you want to keep feeding it.


The biggest realization for me was simple: I do not have to keep living inside the old Monday energy. I can choose differently. Not in a fake positive-thinking way. In a grounded, practical, spiritual way. I can change the rhythm. I can interrupt the routine. I can stop letting an old version of my life decide how I experience my current one.


How to Recognize and Shift Energetic Patterns

Start by noticing where your reaction feels bigger than the situation. That is usually the clue. If something small sends your system into panic, dread, shame, anger, avoidance, or shutdown, there may be an old energetic pattern underneath it. Then ask yourself where you have felt this before. Do not overcomplicate it. You do not need to turn it into a seven-hour healing ceremony unless that actually feels supportive. Just get curious. When did this energy start? What does this situation remind me of? Is my body reacting to what is happening now, or to something old?


Once you see the pattern, interrupt it with a new choice. Not a massive life overhaul. A simple, repeated choice that creates a different energetic association. If a day feels heavy, change how you begin it. If money feels scary, create a small practice that helps your body feel safe when money moves. If visibility makes you want to hide, take one tiny action that lets your system experience being seen without danger. If rest makes you feel guilty, practice resting before you have completely burned yourself into the ground.


The goal is not to become a completely new person overnight. The goal is to stop obeying old energy like it is a law. Because sometimes the shift is not about becoming someone else. Sometimes it is realizing the old pattern was never actually you. It was just energy that kept repeating because you never told it to stop.
